Read It Write It 2025 

Our fourth year of Read It Write It Book and Writing Festival happened on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at The Mall at Wellington Green. 
In addition to the panels, workshops and poetry reading we also revealed our first-place winner in the poetry/short story contest - Marta Oppenheimer for her touching entry "The Shutters." 
It's always a pleasure to have Steve Altier, TK Lawyer, Heidi Middlebrook, Denise Marsh and Sheila Fowler there as well as publisher, Neon Sunrise Publishing. 


 

Read It Write It 2024 

Year Three of Read It Write It found us back at the Wellington Green Mall with a record number of participating authors and readers. Not only did we have USA Today and Wall Street Journal Best Selling authors but also Emmy Award winning journalist, Mel Taylor.
 

Panels were well attended and ranged from how to publish your book, to writing romance and intense mystery novels, as well as a poetry reading. We were lucky to have a full panel for the Writing Children's Books. On the panel, we had several writers, an illustrator, and a publisher from Australia. Our writing competition proved that there's a lot of natural talent here in Florida.  We are already looking forward to next year!
